Benign breast lump

This question is often asked - "Do I need to worry about my Benign breast lump"? It should be noted that most breast lumps are actually benign and not malignant (cancer). These are basically abnormal growths and in almost all cases do not spread outside of the breast and are definitely not life threatening. BUT, a benign breast lump can increase a woman's risk of getting breast cancer.
