Bushra Cheema, MD

After successfully completing her residency in Internal Medicine at Case Western Reserve University St. Vincent’s Charity Hospital Program, she went on to complete her fellowship in Palliative Medicine at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her Medical Oncology fellowship at the UTMB Galveston where she also served as the Chief Fellow during her second year.

Dr. Cheema is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American College of Physicians (ACP). She also serves on the Tumor Board of various regional hospitals.

Dr. Cheema continually strives to provide comprehensive care by working closely with other medical professionals  including radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologist and primary care professionals.

Her background in Palliative Medicine also allows her to treat the numerous side effects, pain and symptoms experienced by patients during their cancer treatment.

Dr. Cheema is dedicated to providing compassionate care using state of the art health care technology. Her focus on maintaining patient’s quality of life allows her to be a leader in the Medical Oncology area.
